Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Arnoldo Sharpe (ranked 24363 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Redmand (ranked 5100 p4p, 0 weight class). Brock Redmand acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Arnoldo Sharpe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brock Redmand!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sharpe throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Redmand lands a nice looking body shot.

Redmand is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Sharpe's half guard.
Redmand lands strikes from half guard.
Redmand controlling the pace.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Redmand working Sharpe over with strikes.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Redmand working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Redmand is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Redmand seems to be working for a kimura but Sharpe defends the submission attempt.
Redmand wants to get back to his feet.

Redmand stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Sharpe to get to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Redmand drives through and clinches with Sharpe against the cage.
Redmand digs a right hand into Sharpe's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Sharpe's gas tank.

Redmand jumps into guard, dragging Sharpe to the mat.

Redmand looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Sharpe has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Redmand looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sharpe is one step ahead there.
Redmand avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Redmand pulls Sharpe in to control the position.
Redmand trying to keep a closed guard but Sharpe is proving a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Redmand wants to stand and escape but Sharpe is having none of it.
Sharpe cracks Redmand with a solid left hand.
Sharpe with a flurry of punches that miss.
Redmand is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Sharpe lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Sharpe postures up.

Redmand uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Redmand shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Sharpe has a closed guard, preventing Redmand from standing up.
Redmand trying to control the position from guard on top but Sharpe is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Redmand with a flurry of punches that miss.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Redmand gets to his feet - Sharpe follows without any prompting.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brock Redmand dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Redmand instigates a clinch.
Knees to the body from Redmand.
Sharpe jumps guard but Redmand stands there with Sharpe around his waist. Sharpe gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Redmand has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Sharpe clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Sharpe manages to get to his feet, escaping the difficult position.
Redmand throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Redmand drives through with a takedown into Sharpe's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Redmand stays in close to Sharpe's body and controls the position.

Redmand gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Redmand has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Redmand closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sharpe did well to prevent Redmand getting side control.
Ground and pound from Redmand.
Redmand trying to control the action but Sharpe is working from the bottom.

Sharpe is defending against the submission attempts here by Redmand.
Redmand lands with a punch from half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Still in half guard, Redmand seems content to control.
Redmand throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Sharpe to regain full guard.
Redmand keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Sharpe's head.
Redmand won't allow Sharpe to sweep him here.
Sharpe being controlled here, momentarily.
Redmand's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Redmand drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Sharpe dives on top into guard.

Redmand looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sharpe is one step ahead there.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Redmand bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sharpe's guard.

Redmand gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brock Redmand showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Redmand throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sharpe stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Sharpe misses with an attempted mid kick.
Redmand avoids the head kick by Sharpe.

Redmand throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Sharpe was covering up waiting for the punch and Redmand finishes the takedown easily into guard.


Sharpe is rocked!
Redmand arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Sharpe's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Brock Redmand!
Brock Redmand thanked the fans post fight for their support.
