PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Mang Kanor (ranked 5864 p4p, 534 weight class) and Cesare Tiramanti (ranked 5141 p4p, 509 weight class). Kanor kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Mang J̶o̶s̶e̶ Kanor by Parokya ni Edgarskie. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tiramanti throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kanor sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Kanor throws a jab when Tiramanti was well out of range.
Tiramanti tries to counter with a clinch but Kanor shakes him off and moves away.
Tiramanti tries to clinch but Kanor moves out of range.
The fighters circling - Tiramanti throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Kanor misses with a looping right.
Tiramanti looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
The crowd cheers as Kanor lands an impressive looking overhand right. Tiramanti doesn't seem phased though.

Kanor scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Tiramanti counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Tiramanti has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Kanor comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Tiramanti ducks under a wild hook from Kanor.

Kanor stuns Tiramanti with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Kanor ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tiramanti moves away.
Tiramanti fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Kanor drops a shoulder and throws a biiiig uppercut that drops Tiramanti onto his butt! Tiramanti pops straight back to his feet to convince the referee that he's OK to continue.

Kanor throws a lazy right hand but Tiramanti sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Tiramanti drops his guard momentarily, allowing Kanor to crack him with a picture perfect lead left hook! Boom! Down goes Tiramanti! Oh, he's in big trouble - I don't like his chances here as the referee's count reaches 5. 6,7,8,9...10! He's out! Kanor takes it!
