PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Herta (ranked 4908 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Lancaster (ranked 2895 p4p, 0 weight class). Lancaster has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lancaster stuffs the takedown attempt from Herta. Herta gets slowly back to his feet.
Lancaster looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Herta fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lancaster, pushing him back against the cage.

Lancaster breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Herta swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Lancaster lands a slapping body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lancaster smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Herta shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lancaster but Lancaster pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Antonio Herta. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Herta changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lancaster tries to avoid it but Herta manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lancaster to the ground. Lancaster escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Herta has been working on his balance at Temp Spar Gym, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Lancaster.

Herta is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Lancaster pulls him back up using the underhooks.
