Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Shane Mayde!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tommie Templeton!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, David Hoff and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayde scores with a takedown into Templeton's guard.
Templeton trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Mayde trying to control but Templeton is working from the bottom.
Mayde would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Templeton striking off his back but it's not causing Mayde any problems.

Templeton is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Templeton throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Mayde drops back looking for a leg! Templeton is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Templeton manages to kick Mayde off! Mayde jumps back into Templeton's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mayde trying to control the position from guard on top but Templeton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Mayde attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Tommie Templeton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Templeton tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mayde defends well and Templeton ends up having to push Mayde into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Mayde.
Templeton is not content to let Mayde control the position.

Mayde looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Templeton wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
Templeton throws a few rabbit punches from the bottom. Mayde was waiting for it though - now Templeton's arm is in the perfect position for an arm triangle - he's tightening it up and Templeton is forced to tap out before he takes a nap! Very clever counter grappling there from Mayde!
