The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bailey misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Matousek.
And Matousek tries to counter it with a takedown but Bailey pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Matousek shoots in looking for a takedown but Bailey manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Matousek's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

and Bailey counters with a good low kick that Matousek was not able to check.
Bailey lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Bailey lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Matousek circles away quickly and effectively.
Matousek stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Bailey.

Joe Bailey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Matousek is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
A jab lands there for Bailey.

Matousek shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bailey pinned against the cage. Bailey gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Joe Bailey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jacob Matousek.

Bailey drops Matousek with a right and a left! Bailey comes rushing in but Matousek regains his composure and manages to keep Bailey in guard.

Matousek is rocked!

It looks like Jacob Matousek has been cut.

Matousek takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Matousek drops his hands for a split second and Bailey immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Matousek face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Bailey follows up with a right hand that knocks Matousek into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
