Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fred Master Fox (ranked 4802 p4p, 484 weight class) and Ethan Hunt (ranked 4520 p4p, 467 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Fred Master Fox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ethan Hunt!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Master Fox sprawls well. Master Fox wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hunt gets slowly back to his feet.
Master Fox tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Hunt is able to avoid easily.
Hunt fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Master Fox throws a big counter combination but Hunt scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Hunt checks a low kick from Master Fox.
Ethan Hunt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Master Fox defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hunt.
Hunt just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromMaster Fox.

Hunt stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hunt wants it to stay on the feet.
Hunt's coach down at The Forge was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Hunt's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

It looked like Master Fox was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Hunt looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Master Fox is fending him off so far but Hunt persists. Nope, Master Fox circles away and we're back to standing.

Hunt tries to score a power double leg takedown but Master Fox sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hunt somewhat.

Master Fox is staying active underneath Hunt, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hunt tries to pass the half guard into mount. Master Fox knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Master Fox is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hunt's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hunt's back!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hunt shoots in for a double leg but Master Fox sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Master Fox throws a sloppy head kick and Hunt moves out of range easily.
Hunt dives in and grabs Master Fox's left leg, looking for a takedown. Master Fox pushes down on Hunt's head and hops out.
Hunt looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Master Fox is fending him off so far but Hunt persists. Nope, Master Fox circles away and we're back to standing.

A decent looking body kick lands there for Master Fox.

Hunt working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Master Fox doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Master Fox manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
We've been hearing that Master Fox has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Master Fox stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hunt swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Master Fox looking to sit in guard and control but Hunt gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Hunt avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Master Fox is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Master Fox escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hunt gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hunt's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Hunt works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Hunt wants to pass the guard but Master Fox is defending well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hunt is looking to take a break and control but Master Fox is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Hunt is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Master Fox is just riding it out for now. Hunt eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

As Hunt looks to move away, Master Fox throws a big counter combo but Hunt just gets out of the way.

Hunt feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Master Fox postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hunt is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Master Fox, into his guard.

Master Fox wants to hit a switch here but Hunt passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Master Fox there!

Hunt is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Master Fox can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Hunt is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Master Fox has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Hunt utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
