Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Wiremu Huia (ranked 1484 p4p, 176 weight class) and Jack Wilder (ranked 1485 p4p, 177 weight class). Huia comes to the ring accompanied by Poi E - Patea Maori Club. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilder finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Huia with a poor takedown
and Wilder counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Wilder connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Huia throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Wilder was covering up waiting for the punch and Huia finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Wilder is trying to maintain the position but Huia is very close to passing his half guard.

Huia seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Wilder for as long as he can get away with.

As Wilder tries to get set, Huia tries to push him back and clinch up but Wilder manages to avoid the attempt.

We've been informed that Wilder has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
