Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cruz Dillon (ranked 24847 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Longson (ranked 4969 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Longson or perhaps it was just good defense by Dillon, which made it look bad.
Dillon really is a fat lump.
Dillon throws a sloppy head kick and Longson moves out of range easily.
Longson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dillon tries to avoid it but Longson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dillon to the ground. Dillon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Dillon seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Longson looks for a takedown but Dillon sprawls well.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Longson has Dillon pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Dillon manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Longson throws an elbow that misses. Dillon uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Longson's guard. Nice move by Dillon!

Dillon lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Dillon seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Longson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
