Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Twistan Breakum (ranked 3536 p4p, 406 weight class) and Michael Malloy (ranked 2944 p4p, 351 weight class). Twistan Breakum has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Twistan Breakum!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Michael Malloy!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malloy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Breakum.
Breakum changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Breakum changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Malloy tries to avoid it but Breakum manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Malloy to the ground. Malloy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Malloy closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Breakum to the mat! Breakum manages to get full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Malloy takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Malloy decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Breakum is controlling Malloy's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Breakum moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Let's hope that Malloy has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

It looks like Malloy might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Well Malloy has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
