The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matsu avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Gallo throws a body punch but Matsu moves out of range.
Gallo misses with a jab to the body
and Matsu counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Gallo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Matsu moves away.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Matsu! But no joy.
Matsu moves out of range as Gallo strikes.
Matsu has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Gallo is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Gallo throws a lazy right hand but Matsu sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Matsu lunges at Gallo with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Gallo's hand.

Matsu cracks Gallo with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Matsu has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Gallo to stand back up!

Matsu catches Gallo with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Gallo throws a jab but it's blocked by Matsu.
Matsu cracks Gallo with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Gallo looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Matsu finish him?
Matsu cracks Gallo with a hook to the temple - Gallo is on wobbly legs here! Matsu swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Gallo falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Matsu wins by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Tazawa Matsu!
In his post fight interview, Tazawa Matsu started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
