PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Altintop Palonesess (ranked 3780 p4p, 86 weight class) and Kabala Magaluff (ranked 2867 p4p, 63 weight class). Magaluff is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Shalom. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Palonesess closes the distance and clinches.

Magaluff has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Palonesess regains guard immediately.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Magaluff accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Palonesess seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Magaluff tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
The crowd cheers as Magaluff lands an impressive looking overhand right. Palonesess doesn't seem phased though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Palonesess throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Magaluff's waist but Magaluff gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Palonesess off to one side.
Palonesess dives in for a single leg takedown but Magaluff sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

It looks like Magaluff might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Magaluff shoots in looking for a takedown but Palonesess manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Magaluff's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Palonesess changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Magaluff tries to avoid it but Palonesess manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Magaluff to the ground. Magaluff escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Nice sprawl there from Palonesess as Magaluff shoots in.
Palonesess tries to close the distance and clinch but Magaluff swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Nice uppercut lands for Magaluff. That snapped Palonesess's head back.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Palonesess has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Magaluff avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Palonesess feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Magaluff is trying to stand up here but Palonesess is controlling him well.

Altintop Palonesess is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Magaluff throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Palonesess stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Altintop Palonesess.
I think Magaluff has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
