Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Darnell Williams (ranked 5168 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabor Boraros (ranked 5075 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Darius Henderson and Summer Carpenter.



The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boraros throws a body punch but Williams moves out of range.

Williams closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Boraros did well to prevent Williams getting side control.
Williams working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Boraros shoots in looking for a takedown. Williams tries to sprawl out of it but Boraros keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Williams manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Williams here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Boraros moves out of range of the leg kick from Williams.
Williams is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Boraros can do to turn this around?
Boraros throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Williams's waist but Williams gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Boraros off to one side.
Boraros shoots for a double leg takedown but Williams sprawls well. He's pushed Boraros's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Boraros tries to close the distance and clinch up but Williams swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Boraros is looking for a triangle but Williams pushes his legs off easily.

Williams is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Williams will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Williams is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Boraros's shoulder. That is not cool.

Williams is looking to take a break and control but Boraros is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Williams is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Boraros wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Williams wants to stand but Boraros is controlling his arm.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Boraros looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Boraros shoots in but Williams avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Williams throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Boraros tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Williams is in Boraros's guard.
Boraros is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Williams dives into side control.

Boraros wants to get back to his feet but Williams drags him back down.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Williams throwing strikes but Boraros manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

Williams is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Boraros is aware though and is defending well.
Boraros is fighting to break Williams's control of his arms but Williams is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Boraros passes Williams's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
