Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Luis Gonzales (ranked 1954 p4p, 233 weight class) and Chris Ali (ranked 5751 p4p, 466 weight class). Gonzales comes into the arena with Stormzy - Shut Up blaring out of the sound system. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are James Glass, William Gold and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ali gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Ali wants a takedown but no success here.
Ali has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Gonzales regains guard immediately.
Ali loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gonzales lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Ali to his knees! Gonzales keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

In his post fight interview, Luis Gonzales started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
