Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gregor Hamilton (ranked 5679 p4p, 0 weight class) and Archibald Lee (ranked 24858 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! This should be a great matchup!

The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Chad Campbell and Reed Andrews.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamilton scores with a hook to the body. Lee takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Hamilton manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Lee on his heels. He'll look to pass Lee's guard now, I'm sure.
Lee is looking to stand back up but Hamilton counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Lee.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lee is defending against the submission attempts here by Hamilton.
Hamilton takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Hamilton has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Lee is trying to keep an underhook but Hamilton manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Hamilton looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lee with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Hamilton changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lee looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Hamilton's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Hamilton seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lee for as long as he can get away with.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Hamilton has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Hamilton here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Lee takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Hamilton uses his free foot to push down on Lee's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Lee.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Hamilton wants to finish this one by submission but Lee is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Hamilton.
