Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Padraig Pearse (ranked 22659 p4p, 534 weight class) and Ethan Wright (ranked 7389 p4p, 524 weight class). Ethan Wright has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Padraig Pearse!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 1, fighting out of London, Ethan Wright!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Colin Fotheringham and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pearse scores with a takedown into Wright's guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Pearse's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

That was a close round but I would say that Padraig Pearse will probably get the nod.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Wright changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pearse looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Pearse parries the strikes from Wright easily there. Wright is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Pearse to escape.

Wright throws an elbow that misses. Pearse uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Wright's guard. Nice move by Pearse!
