Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Earl Jeffries (ranked 475 p4p, 71 weight class) and Sheikh Amun Ghosh (ranked 485 p4p, 73 weight class). Ghosh has chosen Allah Gets Funky as his entrance music. Sheikh Amun Ghosh has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ghosh walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Ghosh steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jeffries .
Ghosh misses with a wild body shot.
Jeffries takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Ghosh throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ghosh fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jeffries .
Jeffries checks a low kick from Ghosh.
Jeffries lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Jeffries .
Ghosh throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

A little feinted left hand from Jeffries on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Ghosh tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jeffries was well out of range. Poor timing from Ghosh.

Sheikh Amun Ghosh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ghosh lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Ghosh connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Jeffries 's hands.

Jeffries ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Jeffries uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ghosh.

Ghosh is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Jeffries rather than just go for the knockout.

Ghosh pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

and Jeffries counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Ghosh closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Jeffries creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Ghosh fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Jeffries blocks a body shot from Ghosh.
A body shot lands from Ghosh.
Ghosh blocks the elbow strike.
Ghosh pushes Jeffries back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Ghosh takes an elbow to the temple.
Ghosh misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Jeffries lands an elbow inside.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Jeffries just misses with a elbow thrown towards Ghosh's brow.
Ghosh blocks an elbow strike.
Jeffries tries to throw a body punch but Ghosh avoids it by throwing Jeffries back against the cage.

Ghosh turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Ghosh is working to tighten his grip on Jeffries 's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Jeffries has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Ghosh is really squeezing tight and eventually Jeffries passes out! Ghosh breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

In his post fight interview, Sheikh Amun Ghosh started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
