PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hamish McTavish (ranked 1423 p4p, 71 weight class) and Chief Foot (ranked 1863 p4p, 87 weight class). Chief Foot told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hamish McTavish!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chief Foot!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foot tries to clinch up.

McTavish shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Foot's guard.
McTavish lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
McTavish will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

We've been hearing good reports from McTavish's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Foot tries to push off, looking to stand up, but McTavish manages to move to mount!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Foot is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by McTavish.

It looks like Chief Foot has been cut.
McTavish has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

McTavish is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Foot lands a big right hand that drops McTavish! The killer instinct kicks in and Foot finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Foot!
