Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Karl Kneeland Jr (ranked 3398 p4p, 314 weight class) and Prohor Georgiev (ranked 1954 p4p, 201 weight class). Kneeland Jr's entrance music is Get Back. A fine choice. Georgiev is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Oxxxymiron - City under the sole. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Georgiev blocks a jab.
A big right from Kneeland Jr misses.
Georgiev fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kneeland Jr manages to avoid it.
Kneeland Jr tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Georgiev counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Georgiev is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Georgiev wants to pass to mount but Kneeland Jr is defending the position.

Georgiev is working for a kimura but Kneeland Jr is defending it quite comfortably.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Georgiev in particular looking to stall.

Georgiev drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Georgiev jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Kneeland Jr is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Georgiev dives into side control.

Georgiev looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Georgiev is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kneeland Jr is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Georgiev has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Kneeland Jr is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Georgiev yanks on the arm and Kneeland Jr is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Georgiev.
