Taus comes to the cage accompanied by A Cry For Vengeance. The crowd seem to be enjoying Butcher's choice of entrance music: Won't Back Down. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taus throws a quick inside leg kick.
Taus staying out of range there.
Butcher has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Taus jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Butcher was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Butcher misses with a lunging right hand

and Taus counters with a head kick that drops Butcher to the mat! Butcher scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Butcher stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Butcher throws an overhand right that lands on Taus's shoulder, as Taus tries to avoid the shot.
An attempted straight right counter from Taus misses the target.
Butcher throws a lazy uppercut
and Taus counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Taus lands a leg kick that knocks Butcher off balance momentarily.
Butcher misses with an uppercut
and Taus counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Butcher looks winded!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Butcher avoids a kick to the body.
It seemed like Butcher was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Butcher walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Nice uppercut there from Taus.

Taus drops Butcher with a huge uppercut! Butcher drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Taus is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Melek Taus!
Melek Taus spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
