The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brown shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Brown showed some decent athleticism there.
Brown wants to lay and pray for a moment but Matthews keeps working.
Matthews controlling the position well.
Brown prevents Matthews from improving his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Matthews wants to control but Brown is keeping busy and won't allow it.
