Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dj Peavler (ranked 5154 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pertti Jyrkka (ranked 5184 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jyrkka shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Peavler pinned against the cage. Peavler gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Jyrkka is trying to drag Peavler to the mat but Peavler just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Dj Peavler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pertti Jyrkka.

Peavler breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Peavler shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jyrkka's guard.
Peavler wants to pass the guard but Jyrkka is keeping the position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Peavler is looking to take a break and control but Jyrkka is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Jyrkka really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Peavler. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Peavler is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Jyrkka's shoulder. That is not cool.

Peavler decides to stand back up. Peavler steps back and let's Jyrkka get back to his feet.

Jyrkka closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Jyrkka is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Peavler has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Peavler!

That was a close round but I would say that Dj Peavler will probably get the nod.

The crowd cheers as Jyrkka lands an impressive looking overhand right. Peavler doesn't seem phased though.
Peavler shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Peavler leaves Jyrkka with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Peavler stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Peavler shoots for a takedown but Jyrkka saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Peavler has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dj Peavler will probably get the nod.
