The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Antunes cracks Pereira with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Pereira will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pereira loads up on a big right hand but Antunes slips the punch.
Pereira takes a jab right on the kisser.
Pereira takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pereira's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Antunes connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Pereira scrambles back to his feet.

Pereira misses the body punch
and Antunes connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Pereira throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Pereira on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Antunes is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Pereira is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Antunes.
Antunes is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Pereira had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Antunes connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Pereira momentarily.
Antunes dips to his left and cracks Pereira with an uppercut!

Pereira is rocked!
Antunes uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Pereira has time to react.
Oh Pereira is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Antunes moves out of range of the strikes.
Antunes cracks Pereira with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Pereira is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Pereira is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9,10! He's out! Pereira could not beat the count!
