The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zamarripa shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Zamarripa gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Herman to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Herman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Herman engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Herman content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Herman could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Herman postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Herman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Zamarripa has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Herman has managed to get both his arms back between Zamarripa's legs - danger averted.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Zamarripa has his foot on Herman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Herman works his way back into a safe position though.
