The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Teebs throws a right hand that misses
and Powell connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Powell looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
A head kick misses from Powell.
Teebs is looking for a counter combo.
Teebs jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Powell's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Teebs connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Powell scrambles back to his feet.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Powell throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Teebs connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Bo Teebs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Powell takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Teebs throws an overhand right that lands on Powell's shoulder, as Powell tries to avoid the shot.
Powell tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Powell has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Powell cracks Teebs with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Powell immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Teebs is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Powell!
