Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alexis Tucker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Justin Sungattack!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Ron Honeybunn and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sungattack drives through with a takedown into Tucker's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Sungattack gets to his feet - Tucker follows without any prompting.

Sungattack shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Sungattack showed some decent athleticism there.
Sungattack seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tucker does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Tucker keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Sungattack thows a huge punch but Tucker dodges it nicely.
Sungattack not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Still in half guard, Sungattack seems content to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sungattack throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Tucker is not content to let Sungattack control the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sungattack wants to stand up but Tucker is controlling the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sungattack stalling away here and it's allowed Tucker to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Sungattack forces his way into half guard.
Sungattack missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Tucker is refusing to be controlled, as Sungattack sits in half guard.
Sungattack thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Tucker on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Sungattack. Sungattack obviously looking to wear him down.

Sungattack closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Tucker's guard.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Sungattack swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Justin Sungattack dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Tucker lands a body shot.

Sungattack throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tucker was covering up waiting for the punch and Sungattack finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Tucker has his hands on Sungattack's head, controlling the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sungattack throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Tucker is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Tucker misses with a two punch combination.
Tucker shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sungattack defends it nicely.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Tucker moves away from the strike by Sungattack.
Tucker shoots in looking for a takedown but Sungattack manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Tucker's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Sungattack with the counter takedown but Tucker avoids it easily.

Sungattack shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Sungattack is working for a submission of some sort.
Sungattack is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Sungattack tries to stand and escape but Tucker actually recovers to full guard.
Tucker wants to sweep here but Sungattack controlling him for the moment.
Sungattack throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tucker works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Tucker pulls Sungattack in close to prevent any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Sungattack misses with an uppercut.
A little feinted left hand from Tucker on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Tucker circles away from the clinch attempt.

Sungattack feints and as Tucker raises his hands in defense, Sungattack changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Tucker is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Justin Sungattack will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!



Sungattack feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Sungattack wants to pass the guard but Tucker is keeping the position.
Sungattack has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Tucker wants to sweep but no luck.
Tucker lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.


Sungattack throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Tucker escapes and throws Sungattack's legs to the side, diving into side control!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sungattack is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Tucker's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sungattack tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Tucker has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Sungattack is looking to improve his position but Tucker isn't that keen on the idea.
Sungattack is just holding on here. Tucker manages to take his back.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Sungattack tries to escape the position.
Tucker will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Tucker is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Tucker gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Tucker gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Tucker apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Tucker looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Sungattack takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Sungattack is trying to maintain the position but Tucker is very close to passing his half guard.

Sungattack is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Tucker is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sungattack is just riding it out for now. Tucker eventually gives up the hold.
Sungattack is trying to stand.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Sungattack is concentrating on defense, preventing Tucker from advancing position.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

And that's the end of the fight!
Alexis Tucker showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Sungattack has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
