Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Alomar (ranked 4387 p4p, 178 weight class) and Ronn Gracie (ranked 3350 p4p, 153 weight class). Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bobby Alomar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ronn Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Micheangelo Fripello and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alomar tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gracie sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Alomar somewhat.
Alomar fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gracie manages to avoid it.
Alomar shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gracie pinned against the cage. Gracie gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Alomar shoots in for a takedown but Gracie shows good takedown defense.
And Gracie tries to counter it with a takedown but Alomar pushes his down on his head and steps out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bobby Alomar. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Gracie got a little sloppy there for a moment and Alomar has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gracie has managed to get both his arms back between Alomar's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Alomar shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Gracie is trying to defend but Alomar finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Gracie enables Alomar to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Gracie manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!

Gracie tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gracie has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Gracie is looking to take a break and control but Alomar is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Ronn Gracie comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Gracie has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
