The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Campbell scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Campbell tries for a kimura but Fuentes is defending well.
Fuentes managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Campbell.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Campbell throws a strike aimed at the side of Fuentes's head but Fuentes avoids it well.

Campbell goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Fuentes has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Campbell but great work by Fuentes.

Campbell might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Fuentes haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Fuentes tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Campbell is trying to control Fuentes's posture but Fuentes avoids it.
Campbell tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Campbell tries to reverse the position but Fuentes maintains control.

Campbell tries to lock up and control but Fuentes gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Fuentes trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Campbell is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Campbell closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Fuentes to the mat! Fuentes manages to get full guard.
Fuentes is trying to control the position but Campbell postures up.

King Fuentes's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Campbell distracts Fuentes with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Jeez, King Fuentes's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at King Fuentes's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
