The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Vasquez.
Vasquez buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Kevin Sheedy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vasquez fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sheedy.
Sheedy has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Ramirez School Of Excellence in the buildup to the fight.

Vasquez lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Vasquez blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Sheedy pushes Vasquez against the cage. Sheedy is working some dirty boxing. Sheedy pushes off with a quick right hook! Vasquez goes down! Vasquez tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Sheedy moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
