The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pearson scoring well with a low kick there.
Pearson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Frunze has time to react.
Pearson misses with a body shot.
Pearson thows a left - swing and a miss!
It looked like Frunze wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Frunze has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Pearson finds it's way round the side to connect with Frunze's head.
Pearson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Pearson loads up on a big right hand but Frunze slips the punch.
Pearson jabs Frunze right on the nose. Frunze blinks but takes it well.

Frunze's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Frunze scores with a hook to the body. Pearson takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Frunze throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Pearson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Frunze misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Johnny Pearson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Frunze uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Pearson.

Frunze's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Frunze fakes the leg kick and cracks Pearson in the body.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Pearson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Frunze - the referee stops the clock and Pearson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Frunze. Pearson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Pearson just misses with a elbow thrown towards Frunze's brow.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Frunze creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Frunze makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Frunze pushes Pearson against the cage. Frunze is working some dirty boxing. Frunze pushes off with a quick right hook! Pearson goes down! Pearson tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Frunze moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
