The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Santos.
Santos throws a right hand that Birchack ducks under and follows up with a left that Birchack also avoids with ease.
A nice combination there by Santos.
Santos dodges the punch combination from Birchack.
It looked like Santos was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Santos lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Birchack circles away quickly and effectively.
Birchack throws a right and a left that Santos avoids nicely.

Santos avoids the head kick by Birchack.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

No joy there for Birchack, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Santos looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Birchack swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Santos scores with a jab and follows up with an uppercut that drops Birchack to his knees! He bounces straight back to his feet but is forced to take the mandatory standing 8 count before he's allowed to continue. We're back under way and the fighters meet in the middle of the canvas to re-engage.

Santos catches Birchack napping and connects with a fantastic 3 punch combination that sends Birchack crashing to the mat! He's still conscious but he's all over the place - can he beat the count?!? 4,5,6,7,8...9...10! He didn't make it back to his feet! Santos raises both arms skywards and takes in the roar from the crowd!
