Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Jones !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rade Kornjaca!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Alexandre Firmino and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kornjaca throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jones throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Kornjaca lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!


It looks like Jon Jones has been cut.
Jones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
A shot to the body from Jones misses
and Kornjaca counters with a low kick, right behind Jones 's knee.
Kornjaca moves out of range as Jones strikes.

Kornjaca gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Kornjaca can't break the clinch.

Kornjaca breaks from the clinch.

Kornjaca clinches with his opponent.
Jones has had enough of the clinch but Kornjaca keeps him there for the moment.
Jones is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Kornjaca is defending well for now.

Kornjaca escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Jones 's jab looks to have found its range, popping Kornjaca under the eye.
Jones is looking to clinch.
Jones tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Jones gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Jones breaks the clinch.

Jones moves into the clinch successfully.
Jones stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Jones tries to stall but Kornjaca uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Kornjaca's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jones fakes the leg kick and cracks Kornjaca in the body.
Jones swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Kornjaca counters with a three punch combo that has Jones backing up. Jones nods at Kornjaca to acknowledge the strikes.
Sloppy strikes from Jones . Those never looked like landing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kornjaca lands a front kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kornjaca lands a head kick. Jones smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Jones throws a right hand that Kornjaca ducks under and follows up with a left that Kornjaca also avoids with ease.
Kornjaca uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jones .
Kornjaca looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Jones goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Jones with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Jones misses with a head kick.
Jones sets himself, and Kornjaca steps forward looking for the clinch! Jones avoids it this time.
Jones throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
And Kornjaca responds with a good body kick, but Jones manages to step out the way in time.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Jones .
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch but Kornjaca swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kornjaca shapes to counter with a head kick.

Kornjaca closes the distance and pushes Jones back into the ropes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jon Jones will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Jon Jones 's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Jones tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Kornjaca counters with a series of strikes. Jones will be more careful next time no doubt.
Jones throws a half hearted mid kick.
Kornjaca swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones .
Jones stuns Kornjaca with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Jones lands with a thumping leg kick.
Jones misses with a double jab
enabling Kornjaca to counter with a crisp jab.
Jon Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Kornjaca counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kornjaca.
Kornjaca is trying to push Jones away but Jones has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere.
We've been informed that Kornjaca has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Jones wants to break the clinch but can't.

Kornjaca escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kornjaca keeps the fight on the outside.
Kornjaca connects with a high kick.
Kornjaca on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Jones . Jones obviously looking to wear him down.
Jones looks to score with a jab to the body but Kornjaca is just out of range.
Kornjaca is looking for the big counter here.
Jones will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kornjaca tries to counter by closing the distance.
Jon Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kornjaca with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Jones clinches.

Kornjaca breaks from the clinch.
Kornjaca lands a leg kick that knocks Jones off balance momentarily.
Jones bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Jones scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Kornjaca is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jones lands with a hook. Kornjaca tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.


Kornjaca is rocked!
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Jones moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Kornjaca! Jones continues to tee off on Kornjaca, landing with a left and a right! Jones connects with a right hand that leaves Kornjaca sleeping against the ropes! What a finish by Jones !

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jon Jones !
Jon Jones bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
