Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nick Shamrock (ranked 10 p4p, 2 weight class) and Ephram Urani (ranked 256 p4p, 34 weight class). Shamrock's entrance music is One Winged Angel by The Black Mages. A fine choice. Ephram Urani has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Urani takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Shamrock stuns Urani with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Urani has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Urani there as he acknowledges the shot.
Urani throws a hook but Shamrock avoids it easily.
Urani just misses with a punch to the body.
It looked like Shamrock was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Urani.
Shamrock moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Shamrock changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

It looks like Nick Shamrock has been cut.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Shamrock wants to get back to his feet but Urani is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Shamrock manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Urani pushes Shamrock back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
