Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Johnathan Casey (ranked 24192 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Pranjic (ranked 24099 p4p, 0 weight class). Pranjic is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Plain Jane. Ivan Pranjic will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pranjic shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Pranjic misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Casey is looking to clinch but Pranjic is avoiding it.

Casey gets tackled into the cage by Pranjic. Pranjic maintains the clinch.

Casey manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Casey gets a warning from the ref for wasting time.

Casey pulls guard.
Pranjic throws an elbow that misses. Casey uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Pranjic's guard. Nice move by Casey!

Casey could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Casey connects with a couple of short punches.
Pranjic wants to get back to his feet but Casey is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Pranjic has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Casey is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Casey manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Pranjic throws an elbow that misses. Casey uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Pranjic's guard. Nice move by Casey!

Casey loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Pranjic has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Casey has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Casey is trying to pull guard but Pranjic turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Pranjic has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Casey is trying to keep an underhook but Pranjic manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Casey pushes Pranjic off and gets back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pranjic throws a sloppy head kick and Casey moves out of range easily.
Casey is looking to counter punch.

Pranjic uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Casey.
Pranjic throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

It looks like Johnathan Casey has been cut.

Pranjic shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Pranjic was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Casey takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Pranjic stands up.

Pranjic pushes Casey up against the cage in a clinch.

Pranjic breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pranjic tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Casey swivels and escapes.
Ivan Pranjic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pranjic scores with a head kick.

Casey is rocked!

Pranjic looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Casey pushes Pranjic off but Pranjic dives into side control.
Oh Casey is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pranjic looks winded!
Pranjic cracks Casey with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Pranjic immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Casey is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Pranjic!
