Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Buford Barnes (ranked 5536 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kostya Marinov (ranked 4959 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Buford Barnes has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Barnes fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Marinov sprawls well initially but Barnes persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Marinov holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Marinov keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Marinov regains full guard. Nicely done.
Marinov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Barnes throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Marinov works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Barnes working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Marinov's head.

Barnes really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Marinov has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Barnes off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Barnes stuffs the takedown attempt from Marinov. Marinov gets slowly back to his feet.
Marinov throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Marinov moves into the clinch.

Barnes tightens his grip and picks Marinov up, before dumping him to the ground. Marinov manages to land in guard.

Marinov is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Barnes defends well.

Marinov wants to stand and escape but Barnes is having none of it.
Barnes lands a couple of decent looking shots.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Marinov is on top in guard.

Marinov trying to control the position from guard on top but Barnes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Marinov tries to stand but Barnes is controlling from the bottom.
Barnes thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Marinov postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Barnes will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Barnes wants to sweep here but Marinov controlling him for the moment.
Marinov chips away with some ground and pound.

Marinov stands up from Barnes's guard - Marinov perhaps looking for a knockout.

Marinov shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Marinov was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Barnes tries to bench press Marinov off him but Marinov keeps the position.
Marinov works to advance to full mount. Barnes defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Marinov stands up and beckons Barnes to join him on the feet.

Marinov bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Barnes bucks up and tries to throw Marinov off but instead Marinov has got his back!
Barnes is breathing heavily.

So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Marinov working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Barnes is doing well to defend. Marinov seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Barnes is forced to tap and this one is over!
