Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Emilio Rojas (ranked 1005 p4p, 122 weight class) and Karter Kinshaw (ranked 1223 p4p, 145 weight class). Karter Kinshaw has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Emilio Rojas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 19 - 0, fighting out of New York, Karter Kinshaw!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Rojas.
Rojas slips a straight right by Kinshaw.
A little feinted left hand from Rojas on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Kinshaw tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Kinshaw looks to score with a jab to the body but Rojas is just out of range.
An attempted straight right counter from Rojas misses the target.

Kinshaw gets a clinch.

Rojas escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kinshaw tries to clinch there but Rojas circles away.
Kinshaw throws a body shot but no joy.
Rojas appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Rojas throws a lazy right hand but Kinshaw sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Rojas checks a leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kinshaw throws a leg kick but Rojas sees it coming and moves out of range.
Rojas needs to keep his hands up - Kinshaw had a free shot at his head there.

Kinshaw bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Rojas's head backwards.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kinshaw.
Kinshaw changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Kinshaw throws a body punch but Rojas moves out of range.
Kinshaw misses with a looping left.
Kinshaw misses the shot to the body.

Kinshaw is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rojas.

Kinshaw misses the shot to the body.
Rojas tried to counter with a leg kick but Kinshaw avoided it.
Kinshaw scores with a head kick. Rojas tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Rojas uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kinshaw.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rojas lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Kinshaw lands a left hand that snaps the head of Rojas backwards.
Rojas can't break the clinch.
Rojas wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Rojas is trying to push Kinshaw away but Kinshaw has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Kinshaw has Rojas pressed against the cage, preventing Rojas from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Kinshaw pushes off an throws an elbow but Rojas leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Kinshaw doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Rojas wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kinshaw has him pressed against the cage.
Kinshaw using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Rojas has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Kinshaw is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Rojas is defending well for now.
Kinshaw lands an elbow inside that Rojas shrugs off.
Rojas misses with some punches.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Kinshaw creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Kinshaw unloads a knee to the mid-section. Rojas lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Rojas breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kinshaw rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Rojas counters with a nice body kick.
Kinshaw uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Rojas has time to react.
Kinshaw lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Rojas missing with a left hand there. Kinshaw was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Kinshaw looks to land a body kick but Rojas moved away.
Rojas was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Rojas looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Kinshaw swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Rojas slips a jab from Kinshaw.
Rojas appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

and Rojas counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Kinshaw throws a right and a left that Rojas avoids nicely.
Kinshaw throws a leg kick but Rojas moved away.
Rojas swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Good standup being displayed there by Kinshaw as he connects with a hook.

Rojas gets caught napping as Kinshaw dives in and scores a takedown. Rojas manages to retain guard.

Rojas has hold of Kinshaw's hands but Kinshaw slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kinshaw stops Rojas from getting back to his feet.
Kinshaw is trying to control. Rojas wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Rojas avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Kinshaw.
Kinshaw has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Kinshaw is taking a breather. Rojas says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Kinshaw is looking to stall here but Rojas recovers full guard.
Rojas wants to get back to his feet but Kinshaw is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Kinshaw throws a big elbow that misses.
Kinshaw working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Karter Kinshaw dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kinshaw looks to land a combination. Rojas sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kinshaw shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rojas's guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Rojas is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Kinshaw throws a strike but Rojas rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Rojas wants to get up but he can't break Kinshaw's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Kinshaw is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rojas defends well.

Kinshaw is working an open guard so Rojas takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Kinshaw feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Rojass jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

and Kinshaw takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Kinshaw ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rojas moves away.
Rojas swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Rojas ducks under a wild hook from Kinshaw.

Kinshaw throws a right hand that misses

and Rojas counters with a nice right hand that sends Kinshaw toppling to the canvas! Kinshaw scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Rojas finish him?!


Kinshaw is rocked!

Kinshaw moves into range and clinches up with Rojas.
Kinshaw is still on wobbly legs! Can Rojas finish him?
A head punch blocked on the inside by Rojas.
Kinshaw misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Rojas escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kinshaw looks to clinch
and Rojas counters with a right hand from hell and Kinshaw is out cold! A vicious knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Emilio Rojas!
A very excited looking Emilio Rojas made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
