The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva drives through with a takedown into guard.
Gracie Jr is trying to hold Silva in close to prevent damage but Silva has managed to pass into half guard.
Gracie Jr is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva content to control rather than advance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gracie Jr looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Gracie Jr knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silva on the ground.

Silva stands up out of the half guard.

Silva pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Gracie Jr fails with a takedown attempt.
Some bone on bone action there as Silva checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Silva feints and as Gracie Jr raises his hands in defense, Silva changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Silva controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Gracie Jr is working an open guard so Silva takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Gracie Jr dives in for a single leg takedown but Silva sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Gracie Jr misses with a body shot.
Gracie Jr is looking to clinch.
Gracie Jr moves out of range of the body kick.

Silva fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Gracie Jr to the ground. Silva is now in Gracie Jr's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gracie Jr has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Silva has passed into side control.
Gracie Jr is trying to get back to half guard.

Silva has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Gracie Jr is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Silva yanks on the arm and Gracie Jr is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Silva .
