Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ray Stuckey (ranked 1394 p4p, 70 weight class) and Edmond Honda (ranked 763 p4p, 36 weight class). Honda comes into a darkened arena with his song building. E. Honda Stage Theme Extended kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Ray Stuckey has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Edmond Honda!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Honda tries a head kick but it misses.

It looks like Edmond Honda has been cut.
Honda takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Stuckey tries to sprawl but Honda drives through with a takedown into half guard.

My spies in WildBoar's Private Pig Pen inform me that Honda has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Honda has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Stuckey can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Honda escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Stuckey gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Stuckey tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Stuckey lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Stuckey lands with a nice combination. Honda backs away looking to recover.
Stuckey swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Stuckey tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Honda's elbow.

I was talking to Stuckey's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Honda is working for takedown but Stuckey is calmly controlling the position for now.

Stuckey wants to stall.

The fighters circling - Stuckey throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Honda throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Ray Stuckey is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Honda throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stuckey's waist but Stuckey gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Honda off to one side.
Ray Stuckey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Edmond Honda.
Stuckey throws a low kick, looking for Honda's leg but Honda calmly moves out of range.

That has opened up Edmond Honda's cut even more.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Stuckey wants to clinch.
Stuckey throws a shot from downtown. Honda moves away and avoids it.
Honda changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Honda swats away the attempt to clinch by Stuckey.
Honda throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Stuckey is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Stuckey gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Honda tries to score a body lock takedown but Stuckey shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Stuckey breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Stuckey connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Stuckey is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Stuckey takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Stuckey looks to score with a jab to the body but Honda is just out of range.
Honda scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Stuckey doesn't seem bothered though.
Honda tries a head kick but it misses.
Stuckey cracks Honda with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Stuckey stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Stuckey wants it to stay on the feet.
Honda shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Stuckey sprawls well. Stuckey wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Honda gets slowly back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Honda changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stuckey tries to avoid it but Honda manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stuckey to the ground. Stuckey escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Stuckey forces Honda back against the cage and clinches.

Honda has clasped his hands together around Stuckey's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Stuckey is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Honda off and has taken his back!
Stuckey has Honda flattened out and is raining down punches.

Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Stuckey.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Edmond Honda's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Ray Stuckey!
A victorious Ray Stuckey thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
Edmond Honda was interviewed post fight and said 'You must defeat Sheng Long to stand a chance!'.
