Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bittencourt shoots in looking for a takedown. Lau tries to sprawl out of it but Bittencourt keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lau manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Bittencourt shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Lau manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Lau is wriggling around but Bittencourt manages to pass to half guard.

Bittencourt seems to be working for a kimura but Lau defends the submission attempt.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lau is looking to get back to full guard here but Bittencourt has managed to pass to side control instead.
Lau knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bittencourt on the ground.

Bittencourt slows the pace down.

Bittencourt has an Americana. Lau didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Bittencourt is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Bittencourt hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Luc Bittencourt decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
