Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Guerrero (ranked 384 p4p, 51 weight class) and Whorely Alvarez (ranked 2483 p4p, 0 weight class). Guerrero comes to the cage accompanied by My Time Is Now. Whorely Alvarez told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez throws a leg kick but Guerrero moved away.
Alvarez connects with a single shot there.
A low kick from Alvarez misses

and Guerrero counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Guerrero definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Alvarez is trying to maintain the position but Guerrero is very close to passing his half guard.
Guerrero is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Guerrero has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Guerrero lands a nice short elbow.
Alvarez is trying to maintain the position but Guerrero is very close to passing his half guard.
Guerrero lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Guerrero lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Alvarez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Guerrero. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Guerrero landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Guerrero scores with a big shot! Alvarez's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Alvarez! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
