Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chief Shadow (ranked 1112 p4p, 144 weight class) and Dukey Tots (ranked 2593 p4p, 319 weight class). Chief Shadow has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tots lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Shadow circles away quickly and effectively.
Tots scores with a sloppy right hand. Shadow should have avoided that one.
Tots scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Tots lands a jab-cross combination.
Tots fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Shadow on the side of the head.
Tots thumps Shadow with a low kick.
Dukey Tots seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shadow stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Tots.
Tots throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Tots digs a good body shot into Shadow's ribs.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Shadow shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Tots as he avoids it easily.
Shadow fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Tots uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Shadow has time to react.

Tots fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Tots lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Tots fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Shadow looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Shadow darts in looking for a takedown but Tots gets double underhooks and turns Shadow into the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chief Shadow. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Shadow gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Donk. Tots catches Shadow right on the button with a cross.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Shadow gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Tots tries to sprawl but Shadow drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Tots looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Shadow is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Shadow throwing shots but Tots is blocking nicely.
Shadow has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Tots is controlling Shadow's trapped leg to prevent Shadow from advancing to side control.
Tots tries to get to full guard but Shadow has control of the leg.
Shadow throwing shots but Tots is blocking nicely.
Still in half guard, Shadow seems content to control.

Tots working for a triangle but Shadow defends it easily.

Tots has his foot on Shadow's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Shadow works his way back into a safe position though.
Shadow lands a couple of elbows.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Shadow's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Shadow postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Shadow will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Tots wants to sweep but no luck.
Tots utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
We've been hearing that Shadow has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Tots keeping moving, preventing Shadow from controlling successfully.
Tots looking for a sweep. Not yet Tots, not yet.
Shadow postures up in Tots's guard and throws a big left but Tots blocks it.
Shadow throws a big elbow that misses.

Shadow lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Shadow wants to control from the top but Tots keeps moving.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shadow gets to his feet and stands over Tots, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Tots felt that one! Shadow unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Tots from any more punishment!

During a confident post fight interview, Chief Shadow thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
