Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kenshi Kimura (ranked 1244 p4p, 142 weight class) and Macho Man Savage (ranked 1417 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Man Savage's choice of entrance music: Hey Freakshow!. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kenshi Kimura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Macho Man Savage!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Michael Johnstone and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kimura closes the distance and clinches up with Man Savage, looking for a takedown. Kimura pushes Man Savage against the cage but Man Savage circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Kimura takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Man Savage takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Man Savage lands with an overhand left.
Kimura avoids the head kick by Man Savage.
Kimura throws a hook but Man Savage blocks it.
Man Savage stuffs the takedown.
Man Savage connects with a single shot there.
Man Savage scores with a hook.
Kimura keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

A jab from Man Savage does it's job there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kimura will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kenshi Kimura. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kimura tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Man Savage defends well and Kimura ends up having to push Man Savage into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Kimura has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Macho Man Savage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kimura shoots in for a takedown but Man Savage shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Man Savage lands a head shot.
Kimura shoots for a takedown but Man Savage saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Man Savage throws a good cross that connects.
Kimura throws a predictable looking body shot

and Man Savage holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Man Savage looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Man Savage pushes Kimura back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Kimura stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Kimura is looking to control Man Savage's arms but Man Savage gets an underhook and turns him. Now Kimura has his back to the cage.
Man Savage makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Man Savage works on Kimura's body with a couple of short punches.
Kimura stalling in the clinch but Man Savage improves position.

Man Savage breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kimura fails with the takedown
and Man Savage counters with a nice body shot.

Kimura shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Kimura has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Kimura is pressing down on Man Savage's thigh, looking to free his foot. Man Savage is holding on for now.
Man Savage tries to roll over but Kimura keeps him under control.
Kimura not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Kimura is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kimura is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Man Savage has managed to free his arm - good work.

Kimura is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Kimura passes to side control.
Man Savage really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kimura. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Man Savage tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kimura wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Kimura is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Man Savage has escaped the position, nice work there.
Man Savage is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.

Kimura tries for a kimura but Man Savage is defending well.

Kimura tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kimura goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Man Savage has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Kimura but great work by Man Savage.
Man Savage trying to control the position but Kimura is working away.
Man Savage is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Kimura will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Kimura is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Kimura trying to hold on to Man Savage's head to control him but Man Savage postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Macho Man Savage dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

A decent looking cross lands there for Man Savage.
Man Savage scores with a body shot.
Kimura throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Man Savage throws an off balance right hand

and Kimura counters with a single leg into guard. Man Savage didn't expect that.
Kimura passes into half guard.
Kimura is looking to advance position but Man Savage won't allow it.
Kimura works his way into side control.
Kimura in side control, throwing shots but Man Savage defends.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kimura thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Man Savage tries to improve position but can't.

Kimura is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Man Savage is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Man Savage struggling a bit here.

Kimura is trying to get an arm triangle but Man Savage is defending well.

Kimura thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Man Savage is working to avoid the ground and pound but Kimura connects with a decent elbow.

Kimura is looking to take a break and control but Man Savage is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Man Savage wants to control but Kimura postures up.

Kimura has hold of Man Savage's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Man Savage tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Kimura cranks the arm and Man Savage screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Man Savage, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Kenshi Kimura!
Kenshi Kimura decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
Macho Man Savage spoke after the fight, saying 'Ohhh, yeaahhh!'.
