The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romeo wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Culpi takes one on the button.

It looks like Jemerson Culpi has been cut.
Culpi has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Romeo getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
An inside leg kick from Culpi misses.
Romeo comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Culpi thows a leg kick but Romeo checks it

and Romeo counters with a crisp right hand that drops Culpi! Romeo lets Culpi back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Romeo cracks Culpi with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Culpi tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Romeo pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Culpi is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
