Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Monroe (ranked 1367 p4p, 150 weight class) and Noob Saibot (ranked 1075 p4p, 123 weight class). Monroe comes to the cage accompanied by Deep Ocean - Island drumming. Saibot has chosen TEST YOUR MIGHT as his entrance music. Noob Saibot has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Igor Prikhodko and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monroe scores with a one two! Saibot had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Monroe throws a shot to the body.
Monroe fails to land with a series of punches.
A countering left hand to the body from Saibot misses.
Monroe throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Saibot! But no joy.
Ricky Monroe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Monroe lands a body shot.
Monroe tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Saibot was well out of range. Poor timing from Monroe.
Saibot changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Monroe comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Monroe fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Saibot looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Monroe lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

A little jabbing left from Saibot on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Monroe throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Saibot on the side of the head.

Despite the aggression on Saibot's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Monroe has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Monroe cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Saibot is looking to improve his position but Monroe isn't that keen on the idea.
The referee warns Saibot that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Monroe lands with some strikes.
Monroe scoring with strikes but Saibot is staying in there.
Monroe prevents Saibot from getting the reversal.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
