Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vince Neil (ranked 2102 p4p, 264 weight class) and Katsu Laoka (ranked 2694 p4p, 318 weight class). Neil's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Wild Side. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vince Neil!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

39 - 25 - 5, fighting out of Las Vegas, Katsu Laoka!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laoka misses with a wild body shot.
Jab, jab by Laoka - just one landing.
Laoka takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Neil blocks a low kick nicely.
Neil throws a head kick that half lands.
Neil feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Laoka sprawling to the canvas! Laoka rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Neil finish him?!
Laoka is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Laoka cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Neil throws a hook but Laoka avoids it easily.
It seemed like Laoka was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

I was talking to Neil's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Laoka connects with a leg kick. Neil looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Laoka throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Neil is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Laoka.
Neil paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Laoka with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Neil to score with a decent uppercut.
Laoka walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Neil checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Laoka takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Neil walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
