Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Crack Head (ranked 5471 p4p, 103 weight class) and Jan Jedrzejczyk (ranked 7129 p4p, 117 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Crack Head!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jan Jedrzejczyk!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jedrzejczyk lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Jedrzejczyk connects with the punch.
Head tries to clinch up
and Jedrzejczyk counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Jedrzejczyk misses with a wild body shot.
A shot to the liver by Jedrzejczyk. Beautiful body shot.
A big right from Jedrzejczyk misses.
Head is looking to counter the offense by Jedrzejczyk and move into the clinch.
Jedrzejczyk misses with a looping right.
Jedrzejczyk avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jedrzejczyk jabs at Head's body.
Head bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Head shoots in for a takedown but Jedrzejczyk shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jedrzejczyk looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Head has taken the fight to the clinch.

Jedrzejczyk breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Crack Head seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jedrzejczyk lands a nice shot to the body.
Jan Jedrzejczyk is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Jedrzejczyk tests Head's chin there with a solid looking shot.
No joy there for Jedrzejczyk, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jedrzejczyk slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - Head looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Head takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Head uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jedrzejczyk.
Jedrzejczyk lands a nice looking body shot.
Jedrzejczyk throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Head on the side of the head.

Head gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Head pulls guard effortlessly.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jedrzejczyk postures up.
Jedrzejczyk must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Jedrzejczyk stands and steps away. Head gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Head manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Jedrzejczyk on his heels. He'll look to pass Jedrzejczyk's guard now, I'm sure.

Jedrzejczyk is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Jedrzejczyk tries to break the clinch but Head is controlling the position.
Jedrzejczyk avoids a wild elbow strike from Head.
Jedrzejczyk blocking some punches.

Head works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Head pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jedrzejczyk is keeping the position for now.

Jedrzejczyk pushes Head off and gets back to his feet.
Jedrzejczyk scores with a jab to the body.
Head on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Jedrzejczyk lands an overhand right.
A nice combination there by Jedrzejczyk.


Head is rocked!
Head gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Jedrzejczyk gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jan Jedrzejczyk!
Jan Jedrzejczyk very nearly forgot to thank Freebok (85% Laundry) amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
