PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcin Vanna (ranked 2348 p4p, 57 weight class) and Cyrius Python (ranked 2708 p4p, 68 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Cyrius Python was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Python seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Vanna does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Python content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Vanna has locked up a guillotine! Vanna's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Python is holding on here and Vanna must be using up a lot of energy. Python has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Vanna gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

After the fight, Marcin Vanna was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
