Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hen Nessy (ranked 1238 p4p, 171 weight class) and Mohsin Zaidi (ranked 1185 p4p, 161 weight class). Mohsin Zaidi has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Hen Nessy's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nessy missing with a left hand there. Zaidi was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Zaidi has his takedown stuffed
enabling Nessy to counter with a crisp jab.
Zaidi throws a leg kick
and Nessy counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Mohsin Zaidi has been cut.
Nessy takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Zaidi misses with a low kick as Nessy jumps back.
Zaidi buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Nessy swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Zaidi displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Nessy throws out the jab.

Nessy is just content to waste time from the top position. Zaidi takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Zaidi pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Zaidi.
Zaidi swings for the body but Nessy moves out of range.
Zaidi takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Zaidi gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Nessy.
Nessy is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Zaidi can do to turn this around?
The fight stays on the outside here - Nessy looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Nessy is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Zaidi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Nessy swivels and escapes.
Zaidi looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Nessy throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Zaidi is refusing to be controlled, as Nessy sits in half guard.
Nessy is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Nessy ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Zaidi moves away.
Nessy lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Nessy throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Nessy on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
The crowd cheers as Nessy lands an impressive looking overhand right. Zaidi doesn't seem phased though.
Zaidi displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Nessy throws out the jab.
Zaidi has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.

and Nessy counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Zaidi badly! Nessy follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Zaidi out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Nessy finished him against the cage.
