Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Wiremu Huia (ranked 1885 p4p, 214 weight class) and Gary Day (ranked 1551 p4p, 178 weight class). Huia comes to the ring accompanied by Poi E - Patea Maori Club. Day has chosen Last minute - Great day to choke you out as his entrance music. Gary Day has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Wiremu Huia's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

18 - 19 - 3, fighting out of Helsinki, Gary Day!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Arvi Lind and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huia takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Day looks to land a left hand but Huia moved out of range nicely.
The fighters circling - Day throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
The fight stays on the outside here - Huia looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Huia tries to clinch up.
Huia misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Huia shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Huia misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Day throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Huia changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Huia moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Day is looking to slow Huia down with leg kicks.
Huia blocks the body kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Day lands a nice shot that snaps Huia's head back.
Huia drives through and clinches with Day against the ropes.
Day lands with a right to the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A nice left hand lands by Day.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Day has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Day is working Huia over against the ropes.
Huia drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Day gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wiremu Huia. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Day manages to pull guard.
Day looking for a sweep. Not yet Day, not yet.
Day working for a triangle but Huia defends it easily.
Huia stopping the sweep attempt from Day.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Huia trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Day will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Day trying to keep a closed guard but Huia is proving a slippery customer.
Day looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Day working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Huia doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Day is tightening it up a little... Huia has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Huia reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Huia taps out! Nice BJJ there by Day!
