Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Archibald Lee (ranked 7025 p4p, 0 weight class) and Otong Dong (ranked 6214 p4p, 0 weight class). Archibald Lee looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Archibald Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Otong Dong!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Steve Montenegro and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee shoots in looking for a takedown. Dong tries to sprawl out of it but Lee keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dong manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A nice side step and Dong releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Lee is looking to chop away at Dong's legs.
Dong avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Lee closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dong circles away.
Dong now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Lee fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Archibald Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lee is breathing heavily.
Lee wants to clinch up but Dong keeps it at a distance.
A nice side step and Dong releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Lee really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Dong is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dong wants the takedown. Lee is fighting it off but Dong persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Lee's guard against the cage.

Dong decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lee is defended easily by Dong.
Lee wants to clinch up but Dong keeps it at a distance.
Lee is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Dong gets to his feet - Lee follows without any prompting.

Archibald Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dong keeps the fight on the outside.

Dong now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

and Dong counters with a nice kick to the body.

Dong stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Lee throws a head kick that misses.
Lee is looking to land body kicks.
As Lee backs off Dong throws a huge counter combo but Lee manages to avoid it all.

Dong manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Lee on his heels. He'll look to pass Lee's guard now, I'm sure.
Lee is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Dong dives into side control.

Lee is letting Dong control him for a moment.

Dong decides to take the fight back to the feet.

and Dong holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Dong tries to work over Lee's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

A body shot lands from Dong.
Dong holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Lee throws an elbow that misses.
Lee tries to break free but Dong pushes him back against the cage.
Lee is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Lee trying to land knees to the body.
Lee is looking to break free of the clinch but Dong has double underhooks.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Otong Dong dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Lee is looking to get back to is feet but Dong passes into side control.
Dong controls the position.
Lee wants to get back to his feet.
Dong in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Otong Dong has got the better of the ground game so far.
Lee pushes Dong away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Dong gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

A little jabbing left from Dong on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Lee misses with a hook. Dong ducked under it nicely.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lee looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Dong looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Lee will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

and Dong counters with a left and a right that stings Lee.

Dong feints and as Lee raises his hands in defense, Dong changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Dong seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Dong has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Otong Dong showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Lee throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dong's waist but Dong gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lee off to one side.
Dong doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

Dong bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Dong let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Lee shoots in but no luck this time.

Archibald Lee is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Dong throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lee was covering up waiting for the punch and Dong finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Dong gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Lee wants to get back to his feet but Dong is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Dong stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Lee is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Dong asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Dong decides to stand back up.
Lee tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dong defends well and Lee ends up having to push Dong into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Dong looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Dong in particular looking to stall.

Lee wants to get back to his feet.

Dong is looking for a kimura but Lee is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Dong to get the leverage.
Lee tries to kick Dong off but Dong keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Lee has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Dong is on him like a limpet, forcing Lee back against the cage.
Otong Dong is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
A frustrated look appears on Lee's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Lee tries to pull guard but Dong holds him up against the cage and eventually Lee drops back down to his feet.

Lee is fighting off a takedown attempt but Dong is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Lee to the mat. Lee regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Lee wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Dong manages to pass to side control.

And that's the end of the fight!
Archibald Lee showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Dong has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
