PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jozen Joestar (ranked 2296 p4p, 280 weight class) and Atlas Metaxas (ranked 4125 p4p, 421 weight class). Metaxas has chosen Richard Humpty Vission-Superstar as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jozen Joestar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Atlas Metaxas!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Daniel Blasius and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Metaxas scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Metaxas connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

and Metaxas counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Metaxas throws a front kick aimed at Joestar's knee but Joestar avoids it well.
Joestar was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Metaxas pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Joestar fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Metaxas.

Joestar has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Metaxas.

Metaxas looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Metaxas lands a left hand that snaps the head of Joestar backwards.

That was a close round but I would say that Jozen Joestar will probably get the nod.

Metaxas has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Joestar can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Metaxas is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The fighters circle momentarily. Joestar darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Joestar lands a big head kick that sends Metaxas tumbling to the mat! Joestar takes a step backwards and waves Metaxas back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Metaxas is rocked!


It looks like Atlas Metaxas has been cut.
Joestar cracks Metaxas with a hook to the temple - Metaxas is on wobbly legs here! Joestar swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Metaxas falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Joestar wins by TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Jozen Joestar!
Jozen Joestar seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
